Spyware
Software that quietly watches your device to collect information without your knowledge.
Spyware installs itself discreetly to observe what you do and collect data: keystrokes, browsing, messages, location. This information is sent to a third party, for fraud, surveillance or resale. The most intrusive kinds target specific phones to access all of a person's communications.
