Cryptojacking
The hijacking of your device's power to produce cryptocurrency without your knowledge.
Cryptojacking uses, without authorisation, the resources of your device or your servers to "mine" cryptocurrency for the hacker's benefit. Typical signs: slowdowns, a device that heats up, an electricity or cloud bill that climbs. Less spectacular than ransomware, it nonetheless betrays a compromised machine.
