Honeypot
A deliberately exposed decoy to attract attackers and spot their actions.
A honeypot is a fake system, with no real value, made attractive in order to trap attackers. Since no legitimate person should connect to it, the slightest activity on it is a clear warning signal. It is used to detect intrusions and study hackers' methods, provided it is well isolated from the rest.
