VPN
An encrypted tunnel that protects your connection between your device and a remote network.
A VPN creates an encrypted "tunnel" so that the data exchanged can neither be read nor altered by a third party along the way. In a company, it is used to connect remotely to internal resources securely. Note: it protects the transport, but it does not make you anonymous and does not protect against an already-infected device or a booby-trapped site.
